Miguel Bein fue el economista que encabezó las preferencias de los principales directivos de las empresas que participaron en la encuesta de Prensa Económica. Bein obtuvo una amplia ventaja sobre el segundo que en esta oportunidad fue Carlos Melconian. El ministro Dujovne también en el podio.

Tienen alto perfil; aparecen con frecuencia en los programas periodísticos de televisión y sus opiniones se publican en la radio y en los medios gráficos. Suelen dar conferencias en auditorios amplios o reducidos, pero siempre muy bien cotizadas. Asesoran empresas y sus servicios son tanto más requeridos cuanto más turbulentas se presenten las coyunturas de la economía y los mercados. Son los llamados “gurúes de la city”.

Prensa Económica quiso saber cuáles de ellos son los que cuentan actualmente con mayor prestigio, o por lo menos son más escuchados por los hombres de negocios o ejecutivos de empresas. Fue así que, como un adicional a la encuesta de “Los Nº1”, se incluyó una pregunta para ser respondida por los máximos directivos de las compañías, acerca de “a cuál economista presta actualmente mayor atención”. La pregunta fue totalmente abierta, sin que se hiciera sugerencia alguna de nombres, pudiendo los opinantes mencionar hasta tres economistas en sus respuestas.

El resultado de la compulsa estableció esta vez un muy amplio ganador: Miguel Bein. Un economista heterodoxo, que ganó notoriedad como principal asesor económico de Daniel Scioli, durante la última campaña electoral. Anteriormente, supo estar con el radicalismo y fue mano derecha de José Luis Machinea, durante su gestión como ministro de Economía.

Sus análisis agudos y muchas veces originales de la actualidad económica comenzaron a ganar espacio en los medios en los últimos años. Su posición es moderadamente crítica con relación a la actual política económica. Su estudio, Bein y Asociados, es uno de los más consultados por las empresas.

Melconian-Prensa Económica

El segundo lugar quedó para Carlos Melconian, un clásico de los gurúes, que ocupó durante 2016 la presidencia del Banco Nación. Asesor económico histórico de Mauricio Macri, fue relevado sorpresivamente del mencionado cargo, al parecer por algunas disidencias con la política económica y con el “triunvirato” que coordina el gabinete nacional, aunque parece que tendrá una segunda vuelta al gobierno, esta vez como político. Posee una amplia labor como asesor de empresas, conferencista y hombre de alto perfil mediático, que llamó la atención de las audiencias con su estilo coloquial, llano y entrador, pero de impecable rigor técnico.

Nicolás Dujovne ascendió al tercer puesto en este ranking, sin duda como consecuencia de su notoriedad al ejercer el cargo de ministro de Hacienda. Economista ortodoxo, es cercano al radicalismo y asesoró a Ernesto Sáenz, durante su pre candidatura presidencial. Luego co dirigió un programa televisivo de política y economía. Inició su gestión con perfil alto, destacándose por sus diagnósticos optimistas en cuanto a la perspectiva de la economía.

Federico

Trabaja en una reforma tributaria que se anuncia como muy importante. Cumple un rol clave al frente de un Banco Central que se ha dotado de independencia y que ha puesto la lucha contra la inflación como su principal objetivo. Federico Sturzenegger es reconocido por su coherencia y buen nivel técnico al frente de la política monetaria. No obstante, también sufre críticas porque las altas tasas de interés conspiran contra una más rápida recuperación de la economía.

Miguel Kiguel dirige un estudio económico muy respetado, como es Econviews. Con amplia versación en temas financieros, habiendo ocupado incluso la secretaría de Finanzas de la Nación, hoy es un importante consultor económico y conferencista muy requerido.

A lo largo de los años Ricardo Arriazu ha logrado mantenerse como uno de los economistas de mayor prestigio, asesor de organismos internacionales, consultor público y privado. Tiene un perfil bastante bajo, porque no concede reportajes y no va a la televisión. Solo escribe columnas de vez en cuando. Pero es uno de los conferencistas más cotizados del medio.

Martin-Redrado

Uno de los máximos representantes de la ortodoxia económica en el país. Ha desempeñado diversos cargos públicos, el último de los cuales fue el de presidente del Banco Central. Martín Redrado ha sido uno de los economistas estrella en la campaña de Sergio Massa. Hoy, sin tanta actividad política, se enfoca en el sector privado como asesor público y privado en el ámbito local y del exterior.

Roberto-Lavagna

Roberto Lavagna ganó prestigio como ministro de Economía, primero de Duhalde y luego del primer gobierno de Kirchner, renegociando la deuda e iniciando una etapa de fuerte crecimiento. Volcado a la política, fue candidato presidencial y se alineó luego con Massa, de quién es hoy uno de los principales referentes. Un economista heterodoxo moderado, con una opinión muy respetada.

Primer ministro de Hacienda y Finanzas de Macri, Alfonso Prat Gay tuvo como su logro más destacable la salida del “cepo” cambiario y el arreglo con los holdouts, que dio paso al regreso de la Argentina al crédito internacional. Otro economista que pasa con comodidad al rubro de la política.

orlando ferreres

Desde hace muchos años, el estudio de Orlando Ferreres goza de un prestigio muy señalado. Sus anticipos estadísticos sobre la marcha de la economía son muy atendidos por las empresas y los medios. Es requerido conferencias y por programas periodísticos de la televisión.

Martín Lousteau es sin duda uno de los productos más brillantes de las generaciones jóvenes. Su carrera en la función pública fue meteórica, como ministro de Industria de la provincia y luego presidente del Banco Provincia, llegó a ser ministro de Economía. Renunciante embajador en Estados Unidos, es hoy una figura política gravitante en la Ciudad. Tiene mucha facilidad para explicar en público los temas áridos de la economía, con llaneza y precisión.

Dante Sica, Migue Angel Broda, Javier González Fraga, Daniel Artana, José Luis Espert, Aldo Pignanelli, Rogelio Frigerio y Juan Luis Bour, son todos economistas de amplia trayectoria en el sector privado y en algunos casos público. Matías Tombolini, por su parte, es un exponente de las nuevas generaciones de economistas, con alto perfil mediático y buen conferencista. •
