La Alazana participará del festival gastronómico de la Comarca Andina del Paralelo 42°. Se trata de la primer destilería de whisky del país.

Sobre la ladera del Cerro Piltriquitrón, en Lago Puelo, La Alazana es la primer destilería de whisky de la Argentina. Al pie de la cordillera de los Andes, en la provincia de Chubut, se produce whisky de malta de manera artesanal desde el 2011, aunque la primera serie de botellas numeradas salió a la venta recién a fines del año pasado. Y ahora, entre los días 20 y 24 de marzo, La Alazana va a participar con degustaciones en el festival gastronómico Cocina de los Lagos.

La chacra es paradisíaca, con caballerizas, frutales, aire limpio y fresco, arboledas y los andes al fondo. Ubicada en el paraje Las Golondrinas, La Alazana es un emprendimiento de Néstor Serenelli, que antes de embarcarse en este gran proyecto, tenía experiencia en el destilado de frutas de forma casera. La idea surgió hace diez años, primero con un interés más amateur, y tras viajes a Irlanda y Escocia, más profesional. Hoy, La Alazana tiene la licencia para vender el primer “single malt” de la Argentina, sello que garantiza el método y los estándares de calidad europeos, pero aprovechando la impronta patagónica que le aportan los ingredientes locales y el entorno natural.

Néstor Serenelli confirmó su participación en Cocina de los Lagos con una degustación de botellas de la primera serie, que ya tienen tres años de añejamiento. Esta actividad forma parte de un programa que, en cinco días, también incluye catas de vinos y cervezas artesanales, clases magistrales de chef nacionales y regionales, una feria de productores independientes, un almuerzo solidario y un circuito gastronómico con menús especiales en los restaurantes de las localidades de El Hoyo, Lago Puelo, El Bolsón, Epuyén, Cholila y El Maitén.
