Los argentinos que guardan ahorro en los bancos uruguayos deberán atender a los compromisos asumidos por ese país en cuanto a transparencia bancaria.

El especialista en derecho tributario Gianni Gutiérrez dijo si Uruguay se suma al régimen de intercambio automático de información fiscal, como se comprometió en Berlín ante la Organización para la Cooperación y Desarrollo Económico (OCDE), Argentina podrá acceder directamente a la información tributaria con mayor facilidad, tanto que para levantar el secreto bancario no se necesitará aval judicial.
Hoy, el acuerdo que mantiene Uruguay con Argentina requiere de un pedido de parte de los gobiernos para que la información sea enviada. En caso de que Uruguay ratifique lo expuesto en Berlín, ya no habrá obstáculos para el acceso a información a partir de 2017.
Según el diario “El Observador”, de Montevideo, “la información estará a disposición del fisco de cada país y los fiscos intercambian información con fiscos de otros países (…) El acuerdo establece que los fiscos tiene que tener acceso en forma automática a información relevante de los contribuyentes, desde cuentas bancarias hasta estados financieros y resultados de ventas de activos financieros”, según palabras del tributarista Carlos Loaiza.
Asimismo, Loaiza agregó que el nuevo acuerdo -de firmarse- “supera el estándar actual de intercambio de información bajo requerimiento judicial”.
